Geac Expands Partnership with ImageTag to Manage Related Paper

KwikTag paper-to-digital system enables multiple Geac applications

ORLANDO, Florida - At Geac ALLIANCE2005 — May 6, 2005 — ImageTag®, the creator of innovative solutions for managing paper in the digital world, and Geac® (TSX: GAC, NASDAQ: GEAC) today announced an expanded partnership that is migrating into Geac Compliance Management and Geac's E & M Series offerings.

The expansion is a result of the success that Geac has experienced by integrating KwikTag® software in its expense management application. Enabling Geac Expense Management to manage the related receipts digitally offers customers a complete solution and has been well received by a wide range of accounts.

Most recently, KwikTag's unique paper-to-digital system has been integrated into Geac Compliance Management, Geac's complete, end-to-end compliance solution — encompassing documentation, testing and sign-off, reporting and executive dashboards, and process automation for compliance procedures and remediation — built on a process management platform and industry-standard technologies. The combined application will be demonstrated for the first time at Geac's ALLIANCE2005 conference in Orlando. A presentation on a paper-to-digital platform for the enterprise featuring Geac's E & M Series product will also be previewed.

"For firms making significant investments in ERP solutions, the gap between paper and digital information assets widens as firms become more automated," said Russell Mitchell, ImageTag VP of Strategic Alliances. "KwikTag is uniquely powerful for solving this dilemma, by enabling a distributed workforce to file paper documents from within Geac applications and then scan stacks of incoming documents when it's most convenient at any digital copier or scanning device. Indexing takes place before scanning, significantly increasing utility and auditing capability, and providing a seamless user experience. KwikTag surpasses the ad hoc, process-intensive cover sheet and copier keypad solutions, enabling enterprise deployments, flexible workflow, and the horsepower for repetitive work."

KwikTag's innovative distributed capture method has given Geac solutions a powerful competitive advantage. "The method has proven itself in the field with a number of our valued customers relying upon it every day," said Isobel Harris, Vice President and General Manager, Geac Enterprise Solutions. "This expansion recognizes another of KwikTag's unique capabilities, the flexibility to integrate across the Geac product lines."

Geac has included KwikTag with expense management products since 2004 and has deployments in both hosted and licensed models with Fortune 500 customers.
